New Materials
The media staff will consider any request you make for books and other materials that you believe will help your instructional program. Please provide information on title, author, and producer, if possible. Place your request in one of the media specialists’ boxes or bring it to the media center. We keep a wish list file.
Resources
- The library’s collection contains approximately 22,000 books, videos, and software.
- The media center subscribes to approximately 30 print magazines which are displayed in the lounge area.
- The media center also subscribes to online databases that are rich in content for all curricular areas. Usernames and passwords are needed for remote access only. You do not need them for access at school.
- The media lab is a part of the media center and students can use it for online research and word processing in conjunction with the computers that are in the media center for a total of 18 computer stations.
- The media center houses a Scantron machine, an Ellison machine, and a laminator. Several colors of craft paper are available for bulletin boards.

Equipment
Please see the media staff if you wish to borrow equipment. The following equipment is available for checkout from the Media center:
- Camcorder
- AV Carts (with LCD, laptop, and DVD/VCR combo and extra audio)
- LCD projectors
- VCRs
- Screens
- DVD players
- AverKey projectors
- Slide projectors
- Extra overhead projectors
- Cassette recorders
- CD players
- Laserdisc players
All equipment is to be returned to the media center by the end of the school day.
Teachers are requested not to exchange equipment among themselves without checking with the library media specialists as to the equipment schedule.

Videos/DVDs
- A list of videos by curricular area can be found using the link below.
- Videotapes and DVDs are located in a room adjacent to the media center. If you would like to check out a video, check with the media staff.
- Videos and DVDs are to be written into lesson plans and must relate to the activities of that day. They are not to be used for entertainment or rewards.
Please consider copyright laws before showing a video. The media center will not house, circulate, or show through the building distribution system any video that violates copyright.
