Freshmen Orientation
Welcome to the Wildcat Family! We are thrilled to welcome our rising 9th-grade students and their families to the Wildcat Nation! To help your student transition smoothly into high school, we have lined up a series of important events this summer.

Freshman Orientation
Orientation is the perfect opportunity for your student to get a feel for WAHS, explore the campus, and connect with the community before the official first day of school!
-Date: Tuesday, July 28, 2026
-Time: 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM
-Transportation: Please note that school transportation is not provided for this event.
What Students Will Do:
-Meet their PACKs and connect with both familiar and new friends.
-Tour the campus to get familiar with the school layout.
-Learn the ins and outs of WAHS from dedicated faculty and Wildcat student leaders.
-Attend a live Q&A session to get tips and advice directly from upperclassmen.
-Gear up for an incredible next four years!
RSVP Required: While orientation is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. There is no makeup date for this event. To help us plan, please complete the registration form by Friday, July 24th.
Parent Information Sessions
We want to support you every step of the way. We are offering two opportunities for parents to connect with our leadership team, learn about the upcoming school year!
Option 1: Morning Session
-Date/Time: Tuesday, July 28th | 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM
-Location: WAHS Auditorium
-Perfect for parents dropping their students off for the morning orientation.
Option 2: Evening Session (for "New to West Ashley Families")
-Date/Time: Thursday, July 30th | 5:00 PM
-Location: WAHS Auditorium
-An alternate evening session hosted during our school registration event. Open to all "New to WA" families.
