The NJROTC accredited curriculum emphasizes citizenship and leadership development, as well as our maritime heritage, the significance of sea power, and naval topics such as the fundamentals of naval operations, seamanship, navigation and meteorology. Classroom instruction is augmented throughout the year by extra-curricular activities of community service, academic, athletic, drill and orienteering competitions, field meets, flights, visits to naval or other activities, marksmanship sports training, and physical fitness training. Information on how to keep abreast of the above events are listed below.

NJROTC Remind 101:

A text reminder program where you voluntarily sign up for email or text messages. Reminders and important information are sent to your address of choice. Cadets and parents may join.

To receive texts:

 Dial 240-348-6084 and type in one of the following codes in the message box on your phone. (ex. @wahsdrill). Join any divisions listed below that you participate in.

Email your club of choice (ex.  You may leave the subject line blank.

In either case, text or email, you will receive a confirmation message that you have been added to the group and it will ask you to identify yourself. Please reply to that message. Join as many clubs as you’d like, but keep in mind you may receive possible repeat emails for each group. There is an unsubscribe option in the message should you choose to do so.
