Freshmen Orientation & Schedule Pick-Up
We're thrilled to invite our rising 9th Graders to our “Wildcat Class of 2029 Freshmen Orientation” on Tuesday, July 29, from 9:00-12:15pm. This orientation is the perfect opportunity for your Wildcat student to get a feel for West Ashley High School and everything we have to offer before they officially start their year here!
During “Freshmen Orientation,” students will:
- Meet their PACKs and connect with both familiar and new friends
- Tour our campus and get familiar with the layout
- Learn the ins and outs of our school from dedicated faculty and Wildcat student leaders
- Attend a Q&A session to ask questions and hear back from upperclassmen
- Gear up for their next 4 years as a Wildcat!
While orientation isn't required, we highly recommend attending. Unfortunately, we can't provide transportation for this event, and there will not be a makeup date. To help us plan, please RSVP by July 24th using the registration form linked below.
In addition, we're also excited to offer a “Rising Freshmen Wildcat Parent Information Session” on Tuesday, July 29th, from 9:30-10:00am in our Auditorium. This is a fantastic chance to learn more about the 2025-2026 school year at West Ashley High, connect with our leadership team, and hear directly from current Wildcat students about their experiences. Whether this is your first Wildcat's journey or your last, we want to be there every step of the way, and we truly hope you can join us! Can't make the morning session? No problem! If you're unable to attend the morning session, don't worry! We'll host an additional information session for "New to West Ashley" families that same evening during our annual "Schedule Pickup" night.

New to West Ashley High? We've got a special "New to WA" night just for you! All incoming 9th-grade families and families of future Wildcats (10th-12th grade) are invited to attend a dedicated schedule pickup on Tuesday, July 29th, from 3:00-6:00 PM. We'll be hosting a "New to West Ashley" information session in our Auditorium. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our leadership team and hear directly from current Wildcats about their experiences!
Additional information regarding all things West Ashley, specifically Freshmen Orientation and Schedule Pickup, will continue to be communicated as the summer progresses and events near!
